Blue Antique
This image is a lithograph which is a printmaking technique where you draw directly onto a stone, using oil based materials. The drawing is then etched and inked in order to produce multiple images using a printing press.
In the print, the older man in the foreground is remenising about his former years. I find it fastinating what we can learn from those who have come before us. As a young artist, I often anticipate being successful and "making it", this painting is a reminder to enjoy life while it is happening, instead of when it becomes only a memory.
